Minnesota Military Museum’s 2018 Storyteller Series

To commemorate our 40th year, the Minnesota Military Museum invites the public to join in a conversation as we welcome four accomplished authors to speak to their respective books on Minnesotans who made history. These new books span a century of service from the Great War to the Global War on Terror.
The books being presented include:

  • Minnesota 1918: When Flu, Fire and War Ravaged the State by Curt Brown (1:00-1:30)
  • War Stories Vol. III: Further Accounts of Minnesotans Who Defended their Nation by Al Zdon (1:30-2:00)
  • Roaring Bull: The 34th Infantry Division in the Global War on Terror by Brian Leehan (2:00-2:30)
  • Leadership and Lessons Learned: The Life and Career of Gen. John Vessey, Jr. by Thomas Saylor (2:30-3:00)

The event will run from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm and will take place at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Bloomington, MN located at: 1114 American Blvd W, Bloomington, MN 55420. The books by Curt Brown, Brian Leehan, and Al Zdon will be available for sale and signing at the event. All books will be added to the museum’s library collection for use by our patrons once the library opens. There will also be uniforms and related artifacts from the museum collection on display. This event is free and open to the public, though a suggested donation of $5 is appreciated. Please rsvp, via email, to [email protected].

Economic Impact Study

A recent economic impact study was conducted to evaluate the financial impact that the arts, history, and cultural community have on Morrison County. The study, which was conducted by Creative Minnesota, has been completed thanks to various organizations in Morrison County. Details of the findings will be released to the public on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at 2:00 pm at the Little Falls City Hall. The event is free and open to the public. Hope to see you all there!
