Minneapolis VA to Host Vietnam Veteran Recognition Day Event

Vietnam veterans are invited to attend the Vietnam Veteran Recognition event on Friday, March 29, from 9 am – 3 pm, at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center.   There will be displays in the auditorium that include the Vietnam War Traveling Trunk, courtesy of the Minnesota Military Museum, the Virtual Vietnam Wall of Faces, Vietnam Photo Display and giveaways (lapel pins, car decals, buttons).  VBA will hold a claims clinic.  Information booths in the first floor flag atrium will feature suicide prevention, Fort Snelling National Cemetery, CVSOs and other programs.   Free refreshments.  Veterans can also ring the Spirit of Minnesota bell to honor a veteran.

Veterans Day on the Hill is hosted by the Minnesota Association of County Veterans Service Officers, the Minnesota Commanders’ Task Force, and the United Veterans Legislative Council of Minnesota.

The tentative schedule will be a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. followed by the rally at 1:30 p.m.
