Monday, March 12th is Veterans Day on the Hill sponsored by the Minnesota Commanders’ Task Force, the United Veterans Legislative Council and the Minnesota Association of County Veterans Service Officers. The rally will take place in the State Capitol Rotunda starting at 10 a.m.
Regional Rooms
Contained herein is a breakdown for the “Regional Rooms” that will be available for use by
Veterans/supporters following the rally in the rotunda. The idea behind these rooms is to offer
attendees a place to congregate, invite their lawmakers to visit and discuss issues specific to
their region, as well as statewide.
It is our intention to send an invite to lawmakers to stop by these rooms, however, it is highly
recommended that anyone who will be attending also reach out to invite their members to
drop-in. The rooms will be available from 11:00 to 1:30.

This is in no way intended to discourage anyone from also attempting to set up one-on-one
meetings to advocate. Also, if your area has historically done a room on their own, please don’t
let this effort deter you.
These rooms are available with the understanding the nature of the legislative session is hectic
and it can be difficult to find your elected officials (even with an appointment) if votes are
called for, hearings called, etc… These rooms will give them a two-hour window to stop by and
hear from their constituents.
If these rooms split a group, bus, post or chapter please select whichever you feel will be the
best for your group, or send a delegation to both rooms, whichever you prefer. These are
general areas and who is where is flexible.
