The Purple Heart is the only decoration that attests, without question, to the bearer having been in combat. It is one for which an individual cannot be recommended, it can only be earned.

Minnesota Military Order of the Purple Heart’s Scholarship recipients for 2025 were Brandon Hodge and Natalie Kuboushek. Brandon and Natalie were each awarded a $3,000 scholarship.
