First Association Executive Board meeting of 2022. We received updates on MN Troops coming home through Ft. Bliss; MACVSO is sending 3-4 CVSOs to Ft Bliss as an advance team to help the returning Soldiers to get their VA benefits started right away. Also heard about new Legislative issues and that Veterans Day on the Hill (MN Capitol) is returning in-person on 4/20/22. Four of our members are going to attend a National Legislative summit in Washington in February. City of Winona is unveiling a new Veterans memorial on 6/18/22. Also heard reports on the Support our Troops grants administered by MDVA. Next meeting will be held on March 9th, same time & location.
