Veterans Get COLA Increase
It’s official! Starting December 2018, veterans who receive VA disability compensation and/or pension will see the largest Cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) increase in six years. Because of the large increase, some veterans will see almost a $100 increase in their monthly checks.

State of Minnesota Veterans Day Event

The Official State of Minnesota Veterans Day Program is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sunday, November 11 at the Veterans Memorial Community Center in Inver Grove Heights. The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs invites Veterans, families, elected officials and community members to celebrate and honor all Veterans who have served this country.

Update on GI Bill Transfer Rules For Purple Heart Recipients

Late yesterday the DoD announced that the Secretary of Defense, in coordination with the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, signed a policy that allows Wounded Warrior Purple Heart recipients to transfer unused Post-9/11 GI Bill education benefits to their dependents regardless of the number of years they have served.
