Veterans Day on the Hill – 2018
Monday, March 12th is Veterans Day on the Hill sponsored by the Minnesota Commanders’ Task Force, the United Veterans Legislative Council and the Minnesota Association of County Veterans Service Officers. The rally will take place in the State Capitol Rotunda starting at 10 a.m.
Historic Fort Snelling – Free Tours for Veterans
Special opportunity for Veterans’ groups! Bring your group to Historic Fort Snelling for a free 45-minute, step-on bus tour highlighting many of the important military events that took place there. The tour will be followed by refreshments and conversation about the upcoming revitalization of this important historic site in 2020….

To commemorate our 40th year, the Minnesota Military Museum invites the public to join in a conversation as we welcome four accomplished authors to speak to their respective books on Minnesotans who made history. These new books span a century of service from the Great War to the Global War on Terror.

HOLES 4 HEROES- Ice Fishing Contest
HOLES 4 HEROES is a special Ice Fishing Contest designed to honor our military, both at home and abroad.
In addition to the traditional prize-filled ice fishing tournament, we also set up a unique “Hole of Honor” which features a live video feed so that families of deployed soldiers can ice fish for free while being linked via video to their beloved soldier.
