Theodore F. Fisher was born May 2, 1919, in Havlock, IA, the son of Theodore and Magdalena (Schabaker) Fisher. Ted received his education attending country school near Havlock.

On December 16, 1941, Ted enlisted with the United States Navy where he served his county proudly during World War II. On September 19, 1945, Ted received his honorable discharge and returned home where he began farming.

On July 17, 1948, Ted was united in marriage to Luella Anderson at Palestine Lutheran Church in Dolliver, IA. In 1950, the couple would make the move to Minnesota where they farmed in the East Chain and Granada area. Ted also kept busy working for the Chicago-Northwestern Railroad until his retirement in 1984.

Ted loved life as a farmer and took great pride in his many years of hard work. Of particular pride were his potato seedlings which he would plant on Good Friday with the hope of a bountiful harvest. Ted was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed deer hunting in the fall and fishing whenever he could. Always searching for the next big one to bite. Getting the best deals while attending auctions and going antiquing was another one of his passions. He loved visiting with family and friends and cherished the memories made at parties and family reunions.

Ted was a member of the Martin County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1222 and the Welcome and Granada American Legion Posts. He was also a member of the Martin County Conservation Club, the Eagles Club in Fairmont, and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
