Norcutt, Laverne of Redwood Falls, blessed with 85 years of life well lived passed away peacefully on November 3rd, 2013. He was surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Hattie Norcutt. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Olga; sons, Ron, Boyd, Owen (Jean), and Steven (Natalie); 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Laverne graduated from Redwood Falls High School. In 1950, Laverne was drafted into the US Army he was awarded the Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars of Valor for his service during the Korean War. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, gardening and cutting wood. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. Laverne’s family would like to extend a special Thank You to the caregivers at the Minnesota Veterans Home and Medical Center. A celebration of Laverne’s life will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls, MN at 11am on Friday, November 8, 2013. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 4-7pm at the Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls, MN.
